The following apartment complexes were developed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs) in partnership with the City of College Station, The State of Texas, and private developers. All have affordable rents (specified by HUD guidelines) and are available to rent through the TBRA Program:
Haven: In 2000 Twin City Mission built and currently manages the Haven, a 24-unit transitional housing community serving those transitioning out of homelessness.
Heritage at Dartmouth: This community is a 96-unit affordable housing property designed to assist the elderly and people with special needs.
Santour Court: Located in a neighborhood in southern College Station, a local, private developer partnered with the City of College Station in 2008 to build rental single-family homes for large families.
Additionally, BVCAP maintains a portfolio of affordable duplex rental units in College Station which are eligible for TBRA security deposit assistance.
Other LIHTC apartment complexes in College Station (but not currently participating in the TBRA Program) are:
Terrace Pines Apartment Homes: Completed in 2006, Terrace Pines is a 100-unit elderly apartment community. With financial support from the City of College Station, Terrace Pines was built by a Texas based company with strong ties to the Central Texas area.
Villas of Rock Prairie: Assisting in the special needs of the elderly, Villas of Rock Prairie is a 132-unit senior housing community in southern College Station.
For families and individuals participating in the BVCOG Housing Choice Voucher Program, TBRA assistance is available to those who choose to live within the city limits of College Station. Click here for more information about the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
