Cash/credit are accepted. Food trucks will be announced on Mondays before the events through Facebook/CityofCollegeStation and X (@CityofCS).

VOLUNTEER DAY: INVASIVE PLANT PULLS
Join us in making a difference for our water, wildlife, and wild places. Volunteer alongside members of the Post Oak Chapter of the Native Plant Society and the Brazos Valley Texas Master Naturalist as we work together to remove invasive plants, helping to preserve the unique ecosystems and demonstration gardens at Lick Creek Park. Remember to bring your gloves, a reusable water bottle, and, if you have any, your favorite garden tools. We are happy to provide certificates as proof of hours. EXPLORING HISTORY LUNCHEONS • REGISTRATION ENDS FRIDAY BEFORE LUNCHEON
The Historic Preservation Committee and Parks and Recreation Department present monthly lectures about our community's history. Attendance is free, but lunch is $10 per person. Lunch reservations are required by the Friday before the luncheon. You can reserve your lunch online, by calling 979.764.3486 or by visiting a parks facility. Payment is required at registration.

LICK CREEK PARK IN THE DARK • REGISTRATION: JULY 31-WEDNESDAY BEFORE CAMP
You don’t have to travel far to create fun memories with your friends and family. The Gary Halter Nature Center invites you to camp out on the night of Friday, Oct. 20, or Friday, Nov. 3. Choose your adventure or join us for favorites such as a hot dog dinner, storytelling, s'mores, and a night hike. We will even help you learn camping basics and discover the creatures that call Lick Creek Park home at night.
The family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Campers must bring a tent, supplies, snacks, and drinks. Electricity is not provided, so remember to pack flashlights, tent lanterns, sleeping bags, insect repellent, and folding chairs.
Limited spots are available, and registration ends the Wednesday before camp. The cost is $8 per person. Children must be accompanied by an adult (18+), and pets aren’t allowed.

Get ready to encounter fear during an adult-only night hike through Lick Creek Park. Discover what is lurking in the night as we search for nocturnal animals and local cryptids that may be concealed along the trails.

FAMILY CREEPY CRAWL 2K FUN RUN & WALK • DAY OF REGISTRATION
Ghosts, witches, and creatures of all ages are invited to join us for a Family Creepy Crawl 2K Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Wolf Pen Creek Park. The free fun-filled event will also feature a costume contest, children's activities, and health and wellness booths that families can enjoy together.
Registration for the fun run and costume contest starts at 9:30 a.m., and the run begins at 11 a.m. Preregistration is not available. The costume contest will kick off at 12:30 p.m. and features prizes in age categories, including six and under, 7-12, 13-17, and 18 and over.

Guests can continue the family tradition of viewing more than one million lights that will decorate the beautiful 47-acre Stephen C. Beachy Central Park. Don't forget to bring your wish list for Santa. Our staff has arrangements with his elves to accept letters for Santa in our North Pole mailbox outside the Central Park Office. Drop your letter off from Nov. 23-Dec. 24 to ensure safe delivery.

JINGLE BELL FUN RUN • REGISTRATION ENDS NOV. 12 • Late Registration ($5 late fee): Nov. 13-26
Join us after the College Station Christmas Parade for the one-mile, untimed Jingle Bell Fun Run through the lights to kick off Christmas in the Park on Saturday, Dec. 2. The race starts at 6 p.m. at the hayride line near the tennis courts. Part of the run is on an unpaved surface.
The entry fee is $15 and includes a shirt and jingle bells if you register by Nov. 12. The cost is $20 during the Nov. 13-26 late registration period. Jingle bells are included, but you are not guaranteed a shirt. Participants three years old and under are free. No parking is available in the park on the event day. Dogs are not allowed.
Packet pick-up is 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Nov. 29 and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Stephen C. Beachy Central Park Office at 1000 Krenek Tap Road.

Stephen C. Beachy Central Park will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m.-midnight, so visitors can’t drive through the park like they can the rest of the month. Shuttles run from 4 p.m.-midnight from the Post Oak Mall parking lot (JCPenney side). Handicap parking is available at the Beachy Central Park softball complex, accessed from State Highway 6.
