The Bob and Wanda Meyer Senior and Community Center is focused as a place where seniors can socialize and enhance quality of life. The facility offers a variety of both passive and active programs and activities including line dancing, dominoes, colored pencil drawing, and more.

At the heart of the center’s mission is the namesakes’ family. After his beloved wife Wanda passed away, Bob would come to the Southwood Community Center daily to enjoy his cup of coffee and visit with his peers. Periodically, he would participate in the programs offered; but more than anything, he craved the social benefit.

The center offers three multipurpose rooms, a room for arts and crafts, WiFi, and plenty of space for dances, classes, a wide variety of activities, or just visiting with friends and family.
