The candidate filing period for the special election to fill the vacant Place-4 seat on the College Station City Council will begin after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Earlier that day, the city council will meet to order the Tuesday, Jan. 28 special election. Councilwoman Elianor Vessali, who was elected to the Place-4 seat in November 2018, on Friday announced her intention to seek the Republican nomination for the U.S. Congressional Dist. 17 seat held by U.S. Rep.
