Masks available to Operation Restart businesses

Operation Restart is now providing face masks to ensure that participating businesses and their customers have every tool possible to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The masks are provided by the Brazos County Community Emergency Operation Center (CEOC) and are being included in the Operation Restart “Recovery Ready” kits, along with a placard, yard sign and window decal. Kits are available for pickup at the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce, the City of Bryan’s Municipal Office Building, City of College Station City Hall and the Brazos County Health District Offices

“With the recent city and county ordinances requiring face coverings, we felt this was a valuable
add on to the Operation Restart Tool Kit. These disposable face masks can assist businesses
with customer relations as they require customers to wear face coverings in their places of
business,” said Operation Restart Tri-Chair Kenny Lawson, who is the CEO of C.C. Creations. “Building consumer confidence is one of the key initiatives for Operation Restart, and
everyone wearing masks for the safety of all involved moves us closer to that goal. A big thank
you to the CEOC for making these available to our businesses!”

The Operation Restart effort ultimately compiled Gov. Greg Abbott’s Open Texas guidelines and identified additional best practices to form a complete list of guidelines that can be used as a resource for businesses to open and continue to engage in business as safely as possible.

Businesses wishing to participate in Operation Restart are asked to sign a pledge: “Through my voluntary participation in Operation Restart, I pledge to meet health and safety guidelines and recommendations while encouraging the continual examination of best practices in my business, industry, or vocation. I strive to go above and beyond by continuing to adjust and provide a safe and healthy atmosphere providing confidence to consumers, employees, and our greater community.”
