Barron closed at Highway 6 for 2-3 weeks

Starting Thursday, all traffic is closed on Barron Road from the Highway 6 southbound frontage road to Springbrook Estates Drive. The closure will be in place for 2-3 weeks while crews replace a water line and repair the roadway.

Motorists can access the southbound frontage road from Southern Plantation Drive or Eagle Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to be cautious and obey traffic control signage.

The city originally planned to have one lane open during the project, but safety concerns led to a complete closure.
