Mobile pay parking services go live Friday at Northgate lot

Mobile pay parking services are available beginning Friday at the City of College Station’s Northgate public parking lot at 310 Church Avenue.

Increased contract rates are also effective Friday for paid on-street, surface lot, and College Main Parking Garage spaces, the first increase since 2013. For details and to view the new rates, go to cstx.gov/parking.

The Parkmobile application for mobile payment services is also used by Texas A&M and was implemented by the last fall for the city’s on-street paid parking.

“We’re pleased to enhance the parking experience in Northgate,” Northgate District Supervisor Eric Chapman said. “Since our partnership with ParkMobile began last October, we’ve seen the payment compliance rate increase while citations have decreased. We expect the same outcome with our surface lot.”
