TxDOT's FM 2828 Traffic Switch

2/28 UPDATE: The start of the project has been postponed.

Beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m., TxDOT’s contractor will shift a small part of southbound FM 2818 between Holleman Drive and Wellborn Road. The inside lane will be open to traffic, but the outside lane must exit to Wellborn Road.

Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes Wednesday night since traffic may be temporarily stopped during the switch.

The temporary condition will be in place for about four months while crews complete the south tie-in to the existing pavement. The work is part of the project to widen FM 2818 from north of FM 60 to Wellborn Road.
