Rock Prairie Road Water Leak Update

A major water leak Sunday morning on Rock Prairie Road near Bachmann Park led to multiple reports of low water pressure and discolored water. The College Station Police and Fire Departments closed down the road to ensure the safety of motorists and allow Water Services to begin investigating.

The leak was isolated, and the water pressure stabilized by 11:15 a.m. Crews were developing a plan for repairs by midday.

Pressure in the system stabilized after the leak was isolated, but some customers may temporarily have discolored water due to the flow and pressure changes. Fortunately, overall water demand is low.
