Mayor White Visitation and Funeral

The funeral service for former College Station Mayor Ben White is set for 10 a.m. on Friday at Christ Church. White passed away on Sunday at 87.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home – College Station. White will be buried at the Aggie Field of Honor.

White served as mayor from 2007-10 and was on the city council from 2005-07. He served the community on the Planning and Zoning Commission from 2002-05 and the Historic Preservation Committee from 2023-24.

White also volunteered for the College Station Fire Department for two years and the College Station Police Department for 10 years. He was instrumental in starting the CSPD’s Volunteer Emergency Support Team.
