MONARCH MARCH 

Celebrate the life of the monarch butterfly! Festivities include a walk through Lick Creek Park’s Monarch Waystation, educational booths, tips on creating a home waystation or butterfly garden, and much more.

MOVIES IN THE PARK
Bring your blankets, chairs, and picnic baskets to the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater to enjoy family-friendly movies on our 32-foot inflatable, high-definition screen. Admission is free. The gates open at 6 p.m., followed by the movie at 7. Guests may bring refreshments, but coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Alcohol and glass containers are not allowed, and food will be available for purchase. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall, with handicap parking near Colgate Drive. Sorry, pets are not allowed.

GAMES FOR ALL
All ages are invited to join us for a night of fun board games. Enjoy chess, checkers, Catan, and much more to challenge your mind and create friendships. An adult must accompany minors.

LICK CREEK PARK IN THE DARK • REGISTRATION: DEC. 5-WEDNESDAY BEFORE CAMP
You don’t have to travel far to create fun memories with your friends and family. The Gary Halter Nature Center invites you to camp out on the night of Friday, March 31, or Friday, April 14. You can choose your adventure or join us for favorites such as a hot dog dinner, storytelling, S’mores, and a night hike. We will even help you learn camping basics.

The family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Campers must bring a tent, supplies, snacks, and drinks. Electricity isn’t provided, so pack flashlights and tent lanterns and bring a sleeping bag, insect repellant, and folding chairs.

Limited spots are available, and registration ends the Wednesday before camp. The cost is $8 per person. Children must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older), and pets aren’t allowed.

EASTER EGG-STRAVAGANZA
Hop over to celebrate Easter with holiday-themed games and grab a photo with the Easter Bunny. Instead of an egg hunt, kids ages 10-and-under receive a bag filled with eggs, candy, toys, and a coloring sheet.

FOOD TRUCK WEDNESDAYS
Middle of the week blues? Join us at the Wolf Pen Creek Festival Site for good food, yard games, and music. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Alcohol and glass containers are not allowed. Cash/credit will be accepted. Free parking is available at the Meyer Senior and Community Center and along Colgate Drive. Sorry, pets are not allowed.

EXPLORING HISTORY LUNCHEONS • REGISTRATION ENDS FRIDAY BEFORE LUNCHEON
The Historic Preservation Committee and Parks and Recreation Department present monthly lectures about our community's history. Attendance is free, but lunch is $7 per person. Lunch reservations are required by the Friday before the luncheon. You can reserve your lunch online, by calling 979.764.3486 or by visiting a parks facility. Payment is required at registration.

SHOW 'EM OFF FOR MLK CAR & SHOW • REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 6
Get your motor running and show off your car or bike as one of the best in Bryan-College Station! The show is free and open to the public, but participation is $5 per car. Reservations are required by May 6. All makes and models are welcome; your car must be in place by noon on May 6. Food is available for purchase from Raging Bull Street Tacos.

Have you still got game? Past and current Lincoln Recreation Center members and staff are invited to participate in the annual basketball game and skills competition (free throws and three-pointers). The free skills competition starts at 2 p.m., and the game tips off at 3:30 p.m. Team registration is required by June 7.

LET FREEDOM RING: ORAL HISTORY DOCUMENTARY NIGHT
Explore and celebrate the compelling variety of Black history in College Station with a screening of “Our Independence Day: Celebrating the Black Founding Families of College Station.” The documentary features oral history interviews with citizens sharing their life experiences. Several College Station streets were named for these families, whose thriving neighborhoods contributed positively to College Station. Food trucks and vendors will be available.

JUNETEENTH FREEDOM WALK
Join us for the 2.2-mile legacy walk from the Lincoln Recreation Center to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum to observe Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers led by Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger landed in Galveston with news that the war had ended and the enslaved were free. Storytelling immediately follows the walk.

FATHER'S DAY COOKOUT
