Memberships may be used for senior programming at the Southwood Community Center, Meyer Senior and Community Center, and the Lincoln Recreation Center. Memberships can be purchased in person at the facilities or by calling 979.764.2670 and are good for one calendar year from the date of purchase. Programs marked “membership” are free with a senior membership.

BEGINNING LINE DANCE
The fun workout is filled with energizing routines set to great music and is designed to teach beginners the steps and terminology of line dancing.

FOREVERSIZE
The class is specially designed to encourage healthy lifestyle practices. Exercises accommodate all abilities and build strength, balance, and endurance.

INTERMEDIATE LINE DANCING II
Experienced and advanced line dancers are invited to learn new dances.

ADVANCED BEGINNER LINE DANCE
The class is designed for beginners ready to move to the next level of line dancing with a fun, upbeat workout introducing new choreography and step patterns. As a result, the course is more comfortable for participants than the intermediate line dance classes.

BEGINNER LINE DANCE WORKSHOP
The monthly class teaches the basic steps of beginner line dancing. The steps, turns, and names of dances are taught in a slow-paced environment. As a result, the workshop is more comfortable for participants than other line dance classes.

The group collaborates with the Parks and Recreation Department to develop programs, events, and activities to serve seniors. Visitors are welcome.

FIRST FRIDAY BINGO
Test your luck and meet new people over a friendly game of bingo. Prizes are awarded to winners. Admission is free, and registration is not required.

SENIORS NIGHT OUT: DANCING & GAMES
Join us for an evening of dancing and games dressed in themed attire. Dance to country music and oldies from the 60s to the 80s, or play a game of cards, board games, or dominoes. Light refreshments are served, and registration isn't required.

QUILTING BASICS
The six-week program gives participants with little or no experience in sewing and quilting an opportunity to learn and practice quilt-making skills such as cutting, piecing, quilting, and binding. Using the materials provided, participants complete two projects, a baby quilt, and a table runner. Participants must bring sewing machines in good working order and basic sewing supplies (thread, scissors, pins, etc.).
